Rukeri donates to Veterans charity, Erskine

Posted by Lisa Taylor on 20th May 2019

Rukeri has donated a pallet of turf and two bulk bags of organic soil conditioner to Erskine, a charity providing support to Veterans in Scotland, for use in their exhibition at the Ideal Home Show at the SECC this weekend.

Veterans charity, Erskine, was established in 1916 and provides unrivalled support to Veterans in Scotland, through care homes, a Veteran’s village, assisted living apartments and an activity centre. The charity needs to raise over £9m each year to support Veterans in their care, and also allow them to broaden their service provision to adapt to the changing needs of the ex-service community. Erskine is the Official Partner of the Ideal Home Show at the SECC for the seventh year running, where they create The Ideal Show Garden and Plant Market.

As a local turf grower who supply turf throughout all of the UK, Rukeri was again approached for a turf and soil donation that will be used to help create their themed garden. Rukeri are delighted to continue their support for Erskine in this way and look forward to seeing the themed garden this year.

Rukeri, a brand of Salt and Grit Solutions Ltd,specialises in growing and supplying premium turf from their own fields in Paisley. Other products available include topsoil, bark, decorative and general aggregates, paving, fencing and decking.

Lisa Taylor, Marketing Executive at Rukeri says, ‘All of the staff at Rukeri are happy to be able to help Erskine in some way. Rukeri are open this weekend and bank holiday Monday so I am personally unable to attend the show, however I look forward to seeing the end results - Erskine certainly do not disappoint with their creations! We actively encourage customers to share their landscaped garden pictures with us on Facebook as we love seeing how our products are used.’
